These terms and conditions govern your use of the Far East website. By using this website, you agree to and are bound by these terms.
We encourage you to choose carefully. We are always happy to receive enquiries or queries about any product that we sell, so if need be, please make use of this service.
We do our best to describe the products that we have online as accurately as possible, and you can be assured that we adhere to the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Colours are shown as accurately as possible, but please be aware that these could differ depending on your screen and it's settings.
All prices shown are in NZD and include GST. All transactions will be billed in NZD.
Exchanges, Refunds and Returns
Unfortunately we do not offer exchanges or refunds for item(s) purchased online due to change of mind. This also applies to any tickets purchased for workshops or events in which the ticket holder is unable to attend. In the unlikelihood that an item(s) is sent incorrectly, we do offer an exchange or refund. For faulty item(s), the fault will be assessed by the Far East team and then either repaired, replaced or refunded.
If you find you have received incorrect or faulty item(s), we ask you to get in touch within 3 working days of receiving your order. Please email us at email@example.com. We may ask you to send us a photo of the fault if visible.
If the item(s) is faulty or incorrect, we will refund you the costs of returning the item(s) to us and cover all shipping costs for the replacement or repaired item(s). If we ask you to return an item(s), please repackage your item(s) as securely as possible. You are responsible for the item(s) until it reaches us. Far East does not accept responsibility for packages we do not ship ourselves. We will contact you once we have received the item(s).
If we have received an item and a refund has been granted, we will process your refund in the original form of payment within 5 working days. You will be notified of this transaction via email to the email address provided with the original order. Please note that your bank may require additional days to process this transaction.
If you have received a product that is not what you were hoping for, we ask that you get in touch within 3 working days of receiving your order to discuss the issues that you have. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sale or marked down items are not refundable.
Out of Stock Products
On the rare occassion that a product you have ordered is out of stock, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know when/if this product will be next available. We are happy to discuss placing a special order for the item(s) from our supplier(s) or suggest alternative item(s) that fit your needs.
All information pertaining to our customers, whether in the form of an online order or subscription to our newsletter, is kept private. None of this information is shared with any third parties.
All items that are ordered Monday to Friday prior to 12pm are dispatched the next working day.
Items that are selected for Free Delivery will be dispatched on the next appropriate Free Delivery day. Orders for Free Delivery on Wednesdays close at 5pm Tuesdays.
Items that are selected for Collection will be available to be collected from The Roastery or the Farmers Market the next appropriate open day. Orders selected for Saturday Collection close at 12pm on Friday.
Delivery or collection will not be available if the delivery or collection days fall on a public holiday. We will notify you as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements.

All deliveries will be made to the address indicated in your order.
All items that fall outside the Free Delivery or Pick Up times / days / locations, or require out of town delivery, will be sent via courier / a freight company. All courier / freight items are dispatched the next working day* and are charged at a standard shipping fee of $5 and a Rural Delivery rate of $8.55 up to 1kg. Freight prices on items that weigh over 1kg will be determined on a case by case basis. You will be notified as soon as possible if your purchase is subject to any additional freight charges.
*We bench test all Coffee Machinery prior to dispatch. If you have purchased machinery, we will get in touch as soon as possible to give you a timeframe in which you can expect to receive your goods.
Credit Notes and Gift Vouchers
All credit notes and gift vouchers must be used in one purchase within the timeframe specified and spent in one transaction. We cannot give change on gift vouchers or credit notes.
